Is app for dating free to use in all countries?

Wanted to get some real answers on app for dating free to use in all countries. The thing that decides it for app dating is how much you can do before being asked to upgrade once you are past sign-up.

The reason I am asking about app at all is that the free and paid experiences barely overlap, and that is exactly the gap I am trying to close. What nobody mentions about app dating is how quickly the fake accounts surface.

The checks that saved me time on app dating before committing:

  • Count how the feed changes when you narrow the age range against what the marketing page claims
  • Verify how the feed changes when you narrow the age range with the age filter set narrow
  • Sanity-check whether photo permissions are opt-in or opt-out at the hour you would actually be using it
  • Compare how many matches ever send the first message with notifications switched off

If you have used app in the last few months, what did the review sites get wrong? Positive and negative all fair game. Concrete examples will save me a wasted month.

Honest take: app is better than its reputation and worse than its ads. The only metric I trust with app dating is whether verification actually filters anyone at the times you actually log in.

Two weeks in, whether it is genuinely free or free until you try to reply on mobile is what actually mattered for app dating.

That's the short version on app, anyway.

Short version: app is a decent starting point and a poor destination. Anyone comparing app dating should be looking at whether the free plan is usable or decorative before anything else. Worth a look at Flamedate (flamedate.online) if you want a second data point.

What I actually check with app dating after a few false starts:

  • Confirm how many profiles carry more than two photos twice, a week apart
  • Track how quickly a scripted account gives itself away with the age filter set narrow
  • Check whether the distance setting is honoured and write the answer down

The honest test for app dating is how obvious the scripted replies are, not the feature list.

That's been my experience with app, may not hold for you.

After a fair bit of testing: app is better than its reputation and worse than its ads. My rule with app dating: how photo permissions are handled first, everything else second. Souldate solved about half of this for me.

I judge app dating almost entirely on whether the free plan is usable or decorative.

That's what six weeks of app taught me, though clearly it varies by region.

Going to push back on @Mason here. App dating behaved very differently for me. Where app dating falls down for me is what the reply rate looks like day to day.

That's where I've landed on app, though clearly it varies by region.

Disagree with @Logan on app dating. The version of app dating I used had none of that. For app dating, how fast it loads on a bad connection day to day is the difference between useful and a waste of an evening.

Worked for me on app, for whatever that is worth.

Going against the thread here: app has been mixed for me and I'll explain why. You can ignore most of the marketing around app dating and just check what the escalation path looks like after the first week. Datescout in particular is worth ten minutes before you commit anywhere.

That's how app went for me, anyway.

Blunt answer: app is better than its reputation and worse than its ads. If you're evaluating app dating, start with what the bot ratio feels like day to day in practice — everything else follows.

That's what six weeks of app taught me and I'd revise it if the numbers moved.
