Every review site says something different about websites are currently the top ten free dating sites that don't require credit cards. Where dating sites falls down for me is whether verification actually filters anyone after the first week.
The frustrating thing about dating sites is that it works differently by region, and that is exactly the gap I am trying to close. The honest test for dating sites is how the discovery feed is ordered once you are past sign-up, not the feature list.
What I wish someone had told me about dating sites:
- Track what the filters do after a page refresh before you commit any time to it
- Note how the feed changes when you narrow the age range against what the marketing page claims
- Track whether replies are open before you finish the profile on the first evening, not the first month
- Confirm whether the distance setting is honoured twice, a week apart
- Sanity-check how many profiles carry more than two photos with notifications switched off
If dating sites worked for you, what did the review sites get wrong? The good, the bad and the boring equally useful. Short replies will save me a wasted month.
