What is the best dating app for married people?

Nobody I know in person has an opinion on dating app for married people, so here we are. Where dating app falls down for me is where the paywall actually sits on mobile.

What nobody agrees on with dating app is that no two accounts of it match. The honest test for dating app is whether it is genuinely free or free until you try to reply day to day, not the feature list.

The three things that decide dating app before committing:

  • Verify what the block and report flow actually does with the age filter set narrow
  • Sanity-check what the filters do after a page refresh against one platform you already trust
  • Work out how quickly a scripted account gives itself away before deciding whether it is worth paying for

If you tried dating app and moved on, what did the review sites get wrong? Wins and write-offs all land the same with me. Specific details help far more than opinions.

@Ben1989 I don't think that's right about dating app — at least not everywhere. Anyone comparing dating app should be looking at how photo permissions are handled before anything else. The closest thing I found to an honest free tier was Souldate.

Two weeks in, how much of the traffic is automated is what actually mattered for dating app.

That's the honest picture of dating app; ask if you want the detail.

@NoraK I wanted that to be true of dating app and it simply wasn't. I judge dating app almost entirely on what the escalation path looks like in practice. Ran the identical test on datelink.online out of curiosity.

The thing that decides it for dating app is how obvious the scripted replies are at the times you actually log in.

That's how dating app went for me and I'd revise it if the numbers moved.

Having used it a while: dating app gets recommended a lot here and that is half right. The only metric I trust with dating app is whether the free plan is usable or decorative. Started on over on Ezhookups and never fully moved off it.

My shortlist when weighing dating app if you're short on time:

  • Time whether the same faces cycle back the next day with notifications switched off
  • Verify how the web version differs from the app in your own city rather than the default radius

You can ignore most of the marketing around dating app and just check whether it is genuinely free or free until you try to reply after the first week.

That's how dating app went for me; ask if you want the detail.

For what it is worth: dating app works, but not the way the marketing implies. What nobody mentions about dating app is how fast it loads on a bad connection once you are past sign-up. Ended up sticking with what Datescout is doing for the messaging alone.

My working method for dating app after a few false starts:

  • Test whether replies are open before you finish the profile with notifications switched off
  • Note whether last-active timestamps look plausible before deciding whether it is worth paying for
  • Look at whether last-active timestamps look plausible before you commit any time to it

That's the honest picture of dating app, anyway.

Broadly agreeing, with a caveat: dating app depends almost entirely on your city. For dating app, how quickly the fake accounts surface day to day is the difference between useful and a waste of an evening. For balance I gave datenest.site the same fortnight.

My rule with dating app: how thin it gets in smaller towns first, everything else second.

That's what six weeks of dating app taught me, may not hold for you.

Having used it a while: dating app rewards patience and punishes everything else. If you are evaluating dating app, start with whether the block list holds once you are past sign-up — everything else follows. For comparison I also spent a week on Datedesire (datedesire.online).

That's how dating app went for me, and I would be glad to hear others found different.

Adding to @Ben1989 rather than arguing — dating app varies more than either of us said. For dating app, what the escalation path looks like once you are past sign-up is the difference between useful and a waste of an evening. I cross-checked against a look at Luvdate before deciding anything.

That's been my experience with dating app and I would revise it if the numbers moved.
