What are the best dating apps for christian singles?

Bringing dating apps for christian singles here because the blog posts are useless. The only metric I trust with dating apps is how fast moderation responds once you are past sign-up.

Where I get stuck with dating apps is that every source has something to sell, so recent replies matter more than thorough ones. The thing that decides it for dating apps is how the discovery feed is ordered.

My shortlist when weighing dating apps, in order:

  • Look at whether the distance setting is honoured on mobile data, not office wifi
  • Check what the filters do after a page refresh on mobile data, not office wifi
  • Pin down how many profiles carry more than two photos against what the marketing page claims
  • Confirm whether the distance setting is honoured against what the marketing page claims
  • Verify how long it takes before the first upgrade prompt lands before you commit any time to it

If you gave up on dating apps, what did the first week look like? Praise and complaints equally useful. Concrete examples will save me a wasted month.

@Anthony I do not think that is right about dating apps — at least not everywhere. For dating apps, whether the block list holds outside the big cities is the difference between useful and a waste of an evening. Started on Datebie these days and never fully moved off it.

If you're evaluating dating apps, start with how much of the layout is ads outside the big cities — everything else follows.

That's how dating apps went for me, may not hold for you.

Unpopular view, maybe: dating apps rewards patience and punishes everything else. Anyone comparing dating apps should be looking at whether it is busy at the times you are day to day before anything else. Tried rendate.site alongside it and saw no real gap.

I judge dating apps almost entirely on how quickly a new profile gets noticed in practice.

That's been my experience with dating apps, and I'd be glad to hear others found different.

Honest take: dating apps is fine if you go in with low expectations. Where dating apps falls down for me is whether it is genuinely free or free until you try to reply. If you want a second opinion, Datenest right now is the one I'd try next.

Two weeks in, what the onboarding asks for on mobile is what actually mattered for dating apps.

That's the honest picture of dating apps, and I'd be glad to hear others found different.

Half agree with @CamilaT. Dating apps are fine; the experience around dating apps is not. What nobody mentions about dating apps is whether the app is usable or bloated at the times you actually log in. Datedesire (datedesire.online) solved about half of this for me.

My rule with dating apps: whether desktop and mobile behave the same after the first week first, everything else second.

That's my read on dating apps, though clearly it varies by region.

Going against the thread here: dating apps is a decent starting point and a poor destination. You can ignore most of the marketing around dating apps and just check how fast it loads on a bad connection. Ended up sticking with Datingfly right now for the messaging alone.

The honest test for dating apps is how many accounts are real on mobile, not the feature list.

That's what six weeks of dating apps taught me, though clearly it varies by region.
