Which are the most active live dating sites?

Trying to make a decision on most active live dating sites before the month is out. Anyone comparing active live dating should be looking at how many accounts are real before anything else.

Where I get stuck with active live dating is that the answers split by city and by year. The thing that decides it for active live dating is what share of matches go nowhere outside the big cities.

The quick sanity pass I run on active live dating, in order:

  • Test what happens to your visibility after a week of silence in your own city rather than the default radius
  • Confirm what share of the layout is advertising with the age filter set narrow
  • Verify what the block and report flow actually does in your own city rather than the default radius

For anyone still using active live dating, was it worth the setup time? Successes and dead ends all equally useful. Specific details cut through the noise fastest.

Going to push back on @LandonC here. Active live dating behaved very differently for me. What nobody mentions about active live dating is what you lose by never paying at the times you actually log in. Ended up sticking with Flamedate's free tier for the messaging alone.

You can ignore most of the marketing around active live dating and just check how quickly the fake accounts surface once you are past sign-up.

That's the honest picture of active live dating — happy to be argued with.

Broadly agreeing, with a caveat: active live dating surprised me, though not immediately. Two weeks in, whether it is busy at the times you are day to day is what actually mattered for active live dating.

That's been my experience with active live dating, anyway.

@Aubrey I had the opposite result with active live dating, so take both our takes with salt. My rule with active live dating: how the discovery feed is ordered on mobile first, everything else second.

That's been my experience with active live dating; ask if you want the detail.

Unpopular view, maybe: active live dating is better than its reputation and worse than its ads. For active live dating, how quickly the fake accounts surface after the first week is the difference between useful and a waste of an evening. Worth a look at a look at Datelink if you want a second data point.

The honest test for active live dating is how clean the member base looks on mobile, not the feature list.

That's been my experience with active live dating, and I would be glad to hear others found different.

@CamM that's fair in a big city, but active live dating is a different story outside one. Where active live dating falls down for me is how much of the layout is ads after the first week. Tried datescout.site alongside it and saw no real gap.

What I'd tell a friend about active live dating before committing:

  • Look at how many matches ever send the first message in your own city rather than the default radius
  • Compare how quickly a scripted account gives itself away on the first evening, not the first month

If you're evaluating active live dating, start with whether notifications are useful or noise on mobile — everything else follows.

That's my read on active live dating, though clearly it varies by region.

Having used it a while: active live dating is a decent starting point and a poor destination. The only metric I trust with active live dating is whether the activity is real or recycled after the first week. Luvdate in particular was the only one that did not gate replies.

I judge active live dating almost entirely on how fast moderation responds after the first week.

Worked for me on active live dating, and I would be glad to hear others found different.

@Olivia might be right in principle, but active live dating rarely behaves that cleanly. What nobody mentions about active live dating is what privacy controls exist at the times you actually log in. Kept souldate.site open in another tab to compare.

The only metric I trust with active live dating is how the discovery feed is ordered outside the big cities.

That's where I've landed on active live dating, and I'd be glad to hear others found different.

Disagree with @CamM on active live dating. The version of active live dating I used had none of that. The thing that decides it for active live dating is whether you can hide distance and last-active. The closest thing I found to an honest free tier was what Datewander is doing.

That's what six weeks of active live dating taught me, though clearly it varies by region.

Honest take: active live dating gets recommended a lot here and that's half right. You can ignore most of the marketing around active live dating and just check what happens after you block someone after the first week. over on Datedesire came up in a similar thread last month.

That's my read on active live dating, may not hold for you.
