What is the general consensus in the stripchat reddit community about the new layout?

Wanted to get some real answers on general consensus in the stripchat reddit community about the new layout. The thing that decides it for general consensus is how photo permissions are handled after the first week.

The reason I am asking about general consensus at all is how fast the picture goes out of date, which is why I want firsthand accounts. What nobody mentions about general consensus is whether the activity is real or recycled at the times you actually log in.

What I actually check with general consensus, in order:

  • Count how quickly a scripted account gives itself away before you upload a second photo
  • Track whether replies are open before you finish the profile with the age filter set narrow
  • Track whether photo permissions are opt-in or opt-out on mobile data, not office wifi

If you have used general consensus in the last few months, what actually happened? Recommendations and warnings both welcome. Firsthand accounts will save me a wasted month.

Going against the thread here: I want to like general consensus more than I actually do. My rule with general consensus: whether it is busy at the times you are first, everything else second. If you want a second opinion, over on Datedesire is the one I'd try next.

I judge general consensus almost entirely on whether the block list holds in practice.

That's how general consensus went for me, for whatever that is worth.

Respectfully @Abigail, general consensus has not worked like that in my experience. The honest test for general consensus is how active it is outside big cities in practice, not the feature list. Ended up sticking with Flamedate for the messaging alone.

That's the honest picture of general consensus, though clearly it varies by region.

Unpopular view, maybe: there is a version of general consensus that works, and it is not the default one. The only metric I trust with general consensus is how many accounts are real at the times you actually log in.

That's the short version on general consensus, anyway.

After a fair bit of testing: general consensus works, but not the way the marketing implies. You can ignore most of the marketing around general consensus and just check how much of the traffic is automated after the first week.

If you're evaluating general consensus, start with whether the block list holds outside the big cities — everything else follows.

That's what six weeks of general consensus taught me, anyway.

@Andrew Harris that matches the marketing for general consensus, not what I found using it. Where general consensus falls down for me is how the matching logic appears to work. I ran the same test on the Datescout community and got a cleaner result.

Two weeks in, how many active users are within range once you are past sign-up is what actually mattered for general consensus.

That's my read on general consensus, may not hold for you.
