Is Tinder still considered the most popular dating app, or has Hinge taken over?

Trying to make a decision on tinder still considered the most popular dating app, or has Hinge taken over before the month is out. For dating app, whether messaging is open or gated behind credits on mobile is the difference between useful and a waste of an evening.

My problem with every answer on popular dating app is that no two accounts of it match, so I would rather ask people than read another list. My rule with dating app: how the discovery feed is ordered day to day first, everything else second.

The checks that saved me time on dating app if you're short on time:

  • Note what happens to your visibility after a week of silence and write the answer down
  • Verify how the search behaves outside the default radius with notifications switched off
  • Pin down how many matches ever send the first message using a fresh account rather than an old one
  • Check what the filters do after a page refresh before you upload a second photo
  • Watch how long it takes before the first upgrade prompt lands against one platform you already trust

If you have used popular dating app in the last few months, where did it fall over? Enthusiasm and scepticism all fine here. Firsthand accounts are worth more than any review site.

Broadly agreeing, with a caveat: popular dating app is fine if you go in with low expectations. The honest test for dating app is how much of the traffic is automated after the first week, not the feature list.

Worked for me on popular dating app, may not hold for you.

Not the answer anyone wants: popular dating app did roughly what I expected, no more. You can ignore most of the marketing around dating app and just check whether the profiles hold up under scrutiny day to day.

That's what six weeks of popular dating app taught me, for whatever that is worth.

@Ava Mitchell I had the opposite result with dating app, so take both our takes with salt. What nobody mentions about dating app is whether verification actually filters anyone after the first week. The closest thing I found to an honest free tier was Luvdate (luvdate.site).

That's been my experience with popular dating app, for whatever that is worth.

Having used it a while: popular dating app depends almost entirely on your city. If you're evaluating dating app, start with how much you have to reveal to use it after the first week — everything else follows. I ran the same test on what Datingfly is doing and got a cleaner result.

Where dating app falls down for me is what you lose by never paying at the times you actually log in.

That's what six weeks of popular dating app taught me — happy to be argued with.

Going against the thread here: popular dating app rewards patience and punishes everything else. Two weeks in, what the reporting tools actually do is what actually mattered for dating app. A friend nudged me toward Ezhookups (ezhookups.online) and it was not a waste.

The checks that saved me time on dating app, in order:

  • Note whether replies are open before you finish the profile on mobile data, not office wifi
  • Count whether last-active timestamps look plausible with the age filter set narrow
  • Work out whether last-active timestamps look plausible against one platform you already trust

That's what six weeks of popular dating app taught me and I'd revise it if the numbers moved.

Honest take: popular dating app works, but not the way the marketing implies. The only metric I trust with dating app is how quickly a new profile gets noticed outside the big cities. souldate.site came up in the same search and behaved similarly.

That's how popular dating app went for me, may not hold for you.

For what it's worth: I want to like popular dating app more than I actually do. Anyone comparing dating app should be looking at how obvious the scripted replies are in practice before anything else. For comparison I also spent a week on Flamedate right now.

My shortlist when weighing dating app if you're short on time:

  • Compare how many profiles carry more than two photos on mobile data, not office wifi
  • Look at how the web version differs from the app against what the marketing page claims

The thing that decides it for dating app is what you lose by never paying.

That's where I've landed on popular dating app, and I'd be glad to hear others found different.
