Is there a dating app for little people that is active and safe?

Been circling dating app for little people that is active and safe for a while now. You can ignore most of the marketing around dating app and just check how quickly the fake accounts surface day to day.

What I keep running into with dating app is how fast the picture goes out of date. The thing that decides it for dating app is how clean the member base looks at the times you actually log in.

What I actually check with dating app after a few false starts:

  • Compare how many matches ever send the first message against one platform you already trust
  • Pin down how the search behaves outside the default radius before you upload a second photo
  • Verify what share of the layout is advertising against one platform you already trust
  • Track what the filters do after a page refresh against what the marketing page claims

For those of you deep into dating app, where did it fall over? Enthusiasm and scepticism all land the same with me. Honest answers are what I came here for.

Short version: dating app gets recommended a lot here and that's half right. The honest test for dating app is how much you have to reveal to use it, not the feature list.

Two weeks in, whether desktop and mobile behave the same is what actually mattered for dating app.

That's how dating app went for me — happy to be argued with.

Having used it a while: dating app works, but not the way the marketing implies. My rule with dating app: whether the block list holds first, everything else second.

Where dating app falls down for me is what the reply rate looks like once you are past sign-up.

That's where I've landed on dating app — happy to be argued with.

Going against the thread here: dating app gets recommended a lot here and that's half right. For dating app, how much of the traffic is automated day to day is the difference between useful and a waste of an evening. I ran the same test on the rendate.site crowd and got a cleaner result.

That's the honest picture of dating app, and I would be glad to hear others found different.

Having used it a while: dating app is a decent starting point and a poor destination. I judge dating app almost entirely on how the pricing is structured in practice. the souldate.site crowd came up in a similar thread last month.

The checks that saved me time on dating app after a few false starts:

  • Work out how the feed changes when you narrow the age range twice, a week apart
  • Compare how long it takes before the first upgrade prompt lands on mobile data, not office wifi
  • Verify what the filters do after a page refresh in your own city rather than the default radius

What nobody mentions about dating app is how the discovery feed is ordered on mobile.

That's the honest picture of dating app, anyway.

Adding to @Will rather than arguing — dating app varies more than either of us said. The only metric I trust with dating app is what the reporting tools actually do outside the big cities.

The quick sanity pass I run on dating app:

  • Note how many matches ever send the first message before you upload a second photo
  • Look at whether the same faces cycle back the next day in your own city rather than the default radius
  • Verify what share of the layout is advertising with notifications switched off

Anyone comparing dating app should be looking at how much of the layout is ads before anything else.

That's the short version on dating app and I would revise it if the numbers moved.

@Christopher Jackson makes a good point, though I'd qualify it — dating app shifted a lot last year. If you're evaluating dating app, start with what the bot ratio feels like day to day — everything else follows.

That's my read on dating app, anyway.

Disagree with @Dylan on dating app. The version of dating app I used had none of that. The honest test for dating app is how aggressive the upsell gets at the times you actually log in, not the feature list.

That's the honest picture of dating app, for whatever that is worth.

For what it is worth: dating app depends almost entirely on your city. Where dating app falls down for me is how clean the member base looks in practice. Datewander right now is worth ten minutes before you commit anywhere.

Practical notes on dating app, in order:

  • Watch how many matches ever send the first message against one platform you already trust
  • Work out how the web version differs from the app against one platform you already trust

If you are evaluating dating app, start with how photo permissions are handled day to day — everything else follows.

Worked for me on dating app, may not hold for you.
