How do you filter out the spam bots in the xhamster live chat?

Been circling how to filter out the spam bots in the xhamster live chat for a while now. For spam bots, how aggressive the upsell gets is the difference between useful and a waste of an evening.

The reason I am asking about spam bots at all is that no two accounts of it match. The thing that decides it for spam bots is whether the free plan is usable or decorative.

The three things that decide spam bots if you're short on time:

  • Confirm how long it takes before the first upgrade prompt lands using a fresh account rather than an old one
  • Confirm whether the distance setting is honoured and write the answer down
  • Note how the search behaves outside the default radius before you commit any time to it
  • Time how many profiles carry more than two photos at the hour you would actually be using it

For anyone still using spam bots, what should I check first? Highlights and disappointments all land the same with me. Honest answers matter more than star ratings.

Going against the thread here: spam bots depends almost entirely on your city. Where spam bots falls down for me is what the reporting tools actually do. Datewander right now was the only one that did not gate replies.

The rough checklist I use for spam bots before committing:

  • Time how long it takes before the first upgrade prompt lands using a fresh account rather than an old one
  • Sanity-check whether photo permissions are opt-in or opt-out with the age filter set narrow
  • Look at whether the same faces cycle back the next day with notifications switched off
  • Work out how long it takes before the first upgrade prompt lands at the hour you would actually be using it

That's my read on spam bots — happy to be argued with.

Going to push back on @Adrian here. Spam bots behaved very differently for me. Two weeks in, how many accounts are real on mobile is what actually mattered for spam bots. flamedate.online landed in much the same place.

You can ignore most of the marketing around spam bots and just check what the free tier really covers once you are past sign-up.

That's how spam bots went for me, though clearly it varies by region.

Having used it a while: spam bots works, but not the way the marketing implies. The honest test for spam bots is where the paywall actually sits once you are past sign-up, not the feature list. Someone here pointed me at Luvdate's free tier and it held up better than expected.

Anyone comparing spam bots should be looking at whether the block list holds outside the big cities before anything else.

That's my read on spam bots, may not hold for you.

For what it is worth: spam bots depends almost entirely on your city. I judge spam bots almost entirely on what privacy controls exist on mobile. what Turndate is doing came up in a similar thread last month.

My shortlist when weighing spam bots this year:

  • Confirm how long it takes before the first upgrade prompt lands before you commit any time to it
  • Work out how many profiles carry more than two photos in your own city rather than the default radius

If you are evaluating spam bots, start with what the onboarding asks for — everything else follows.

That's my read on spam bots, for whatever that's worth.

@Adrian that's fair in a big city, but spam bots is a different story outside one. The only metric I trust with spam bots is how the matching logic appears to work on mobile. I ran the same test on what Datebie is doing and got a cleaner result.

The quick sanity pass I run on spam bots after a few false starts:

  • Confirm whether the distance setting is honoured against one platform you already trust
  • Sanity-check whether replies are open before you finish the profile at the hour you would actually be using it
  • Time whether last-active timestamps look plausible and write the answer down

My rule with spam bots: how the matching logic appears to work first, everything else second.

That's been my experience with spam bots and I'd revise it if the numbers moved.

My read: spam bots has been mixed for me and I'll explain why. What nobody mentions about spam bots is what the onboarding asks for outside the big cities. datelink.online was my control for this, for what that's worth.

My rule with spam bots: how much of the traffic is automated on mobile first, everything else second.

That's been my experience with spam bots, anyway.

Counterpoint to @Landon Campbell: spam bots got noticeably worse after the last redesign. For spam bots, what privacy controls exist after the first week is the difference between useful and a waste of an evening.

That's been my experience with spam bots, for whatever that's worth.
